Annapurna Region

Trekking

The Annapurna Region locates itself 200 kms west of Kathmandu. It is surrounded by the Kaligandaki River in west and the Marsyangdi River in east.
The region is a full collection of picturesque diversities of nature and beauty on the one hand and of ethnicity and culture on the other. Annapurna Region is unique in the world because it has twelve different Himalayan peaks higher than 7000 metres.

Annapurna I (8091 m) was the first 8000 metres peak to be climbed. This is why Annapurna is the first tourist destination of the country.
The different attractions of Annapurna are Thorong-La Pass (5416 m), Tilicho Lake (5119 m), the deepest river gorges of Kaligandaki and villages such as Jomsom, Muktinath, Manang, Ghorepani Poonhill and many more.
