The Chitwan National Park is located in the region of Terai and stretches over 900 kms². This natural reserve has been established in 1973 and has been registered as a UNESCO World Site Heritage in 1984. Chitwan Park has an international reputation and makes discover one of the best safaris in the world.

Literally, “Chitwan” means “the heart of the jungle”.
Indeed, this region has a very rich fauna composed of 538 species of birds (8% of the all species registered in the world), 47 species of reptiles, 53 species of mammals, 9 species of amphibians and 126 species of fish. The most known and the most endemic to this part of the world are the Bengal Tiger, the Asian Elephant, the Garial Crocodile, the One Horn Rhinoceros or the Hornbill.

Safari activities developed there allow observing these animals and many others.
A naturalist guide brings you to see all the richness of the jungle by elephant ride as well as by boat, by jeep or by foot. You can also take a bath with the elephants, assist to a Tharu dance show, visit the elephant breeding centre or discover a typical village of this region.

Different programs can be arranged according to your expectations. Do not hesitate to contact us if you want to discover the Nepalese wild life.
