Mount Kailash via Simikot Tour

During the Mount Kailash Tour via Simikot, the trek starts from Simikot in Nepal. You walk to the Tibetan Border from where you are taken to the banks of the holy Mansarovar Lake by land cruiser. Then you start the trek of Holy Mount Kailash.
This trip is recommended only for those who can trek in a very remote and difficult trekking route at high altitude. This journey offers opportunities to encounter lots of waterfalls, beautiful hills, mountains and people.

Day 1 : Fly from Kathmandu to Nepalganj - 1h.

Day 2 : Fly from Nepalganj to Simikot (2910m) - 45 minutes and commence trek to Tuling (2300m) - 3h.

Day 3 : Trek from Tuling to Kermi (2670m) - 5h.

Day 4 : Trek from Kermi to Yalbang (3020m) - 5h.

Day 5 : Trek from Yalbang to Tumkot (3380m) - 5h.

Day 6 : Trek from Tumkot to Yari (3700m) - 5h.

Day 7 : Trek from Yari to Hilsa (3720m) via Nara-la Pass (4620m) - 6h.

Day 8 : Trek from Hilsa to Sher border. Drive from Sher to Purang (3900m) - 50 kms.

Day 9 : Drive from Purang to Mansarovar Lake (4560m) - 90 kms.

Day 10 : Free morning to visit Chui Gompa and take a holy bath in the lake. During afternoon, drive from Mansarovar Lake to Darchen (4560m) - 1h.

Day 11 : Trek from Darchen to Diraphuk (4890m) - 7h.

Day 12 : Trek from Diraphuk to Zuthulphuk (4790m) via Drolma-la Pass (5650m) - 6h.

Day 13 : Trek from Zuthulphuk to Darchen - 5h. Drive from Darchen to Mansarovar Lake - 1h.

Day 14 : Drive from Mansarovar Lake to Paryanga - 225 kms.
