Mount Kailash (6713 meters / 22 025 feet), the famous holy peak revered by four different religions and regarded as the most sacred pilgrimage destination in Asia, is situated in western Tibet. Hindus and Tibetan Buddhist regard Mount Kailash as the earthly manifestation of Mount Meru, their spiritual center of universe. Sacred Lake Mansarovar is situated at the foot of Mount Kailash and is regarded as important and beautiful as Mount Kailash. It is believed that a dip in this holy lake and cricumbulance of Mount Kailash washes away all the sins that one commits in life.
This holy destination of pilgrimage is called the Kailash Parikarma Trek or Mount Kailash Kora.

ITINERARY OF THE TOUR

Day 1 : Drive from Kathmandu to Nyalam (3700m) - 160 kms.

Day 2 : Acclimatization day in Nyalam.

Day 3 : Drive from Nyalam to Saga (4640m) - 240 kms.

Day 4 : Drive from Saga to Paryanga (4750m) - 255 kms.

Day 5 : Drive from Paryanga to Mansarovar Lake (4500m) - 225 kms.

Day 6 : Free morning to visit Chui Gompa and take a holy bath in the lake. During afternoon, drive from Mansarovar Lake to Darchen (4560m) - 1h.

Day 7 : Trek from Darchen to Diraphuk (4890m) - 7h.

Day 8 : Trek from Diraphuk to Zuthulphuk (4790m) via Drolma-la Pass (5650m) - 6h.

Day 9 : Trek from Zuthulphuk to Darchen - 5h. Drive from Darchen to Mansarovar Lake - 1h.

Day 10 : Drive from Mansarovar Lake to Paryanga - 225 kms.

Day 11 : Drive from Paryanga to Saga - 255 kms.

Day 12 : Drive from Saga to Zhangmu (2200m) - 275 kms.

Day 13 : Drive from Zhangmu to Kathmandu (1400m) - 123 kms.
