As the land of the third highest peak in the world, treks in Kanchenjunga Region provides unusual exploration opportunities in this region with majestic views of three peaks above 8000m and as many as eleven peaks above 7000m. Barely explored, Kanchenjunga Base Camp Trekking climbs from the intensively cultivated hillsides of the Nepal midlands, populated by the Rai and Limbu tribes, towards the finest high mountain scenery.

ITINERARY OF THE TREKKING

Day 1 : Arrive in Kathmandu, transfer to hotel and welcome dinner in the evening.
Day 2 : Sightseeing in Kathmandu and preparation for the trek.
Day 3 : Fly from Kathmandu to Biratnagar - 45 minutes.
Day 4 : Fly from Biratnagar to Suketar (2200m) - 30 minutes and commence trek to Phumphe (1800m) - 4h.
Day 5 : Phumphe - Chirwa (1150m) - 5h.
Day 6 : Chirwa - Sakathum (1640m) - 5h.
Day 7 : Sakathum - Amjilassa (2500m) - 5h30.
Day 8 : Amjilassa - Kyapra (2730m) - 6h.
Day 9 : Kyapra - Gunsa (3430m) - 5h.
Day 10 : Gunsa - Khambachen (4040m) - 5h30.
Day 11 : Acclimatization in Khambachen.
Day 12 : Khambachen - Lhonak (4700m) - 6h.
Day 13 : Lhonak - Pang Pema (5140m) - 5h.
Day 14 : Pang Pema - Khambachen - 5h.
Day 15 : Khambachen - Gunsa (4790m) - 4h30.
Day 16 : Gunsa - Mirgin-la Pass Camp (4300m) - 6h30.
Day 17 : Mirgin-la Pass Camp - Tseram (3870m) via Mirgin-la Pass (4660m) - 6h30.
Day 18 : Tseram - Omje Khola (2340m) - 6h.
Day 19 : Omje Khola - Lappoding (2130m) - 5h.
Day 20 : Lappoding - Suketar - 5h.
Day 21 : Fly from Suketar to Biratnagar - 30 minutes.
Day 22 : Fly from Biratnagar to Kathmandu - 45 minutes.
Day 23 : Free day and farewell dinner in the evening.
Day 24 : Final departure.
