Lantang Region
Making a trekking tour in Langtang Region offers a unique possibility to watch the Nepalese Himalaya from west to east in totality. The region of Langtang presents a big interest for tourists as per the number of high altitude lakes it contains. The most famous of them is Gosainkunda where a Hindu pilgrimage is hold each full moon of August of each year.
The region of Langtang is located in the north of Kathmandu.
Covering an area of 1710 kms2, the Langtang Region is the second biggest conservation natural park of Nepal enriched by more than 1000 species of flora, 150 species of birds and many wild animals such as bears, wild sheeps and snow leopards.
