After landing at the Gonggar Airport of Lhasa, you start your eight days programs in Tibet. This trip to the Roof of the World takes you first to the Forbidden City of Lhasa, the capital of China's Tibet Autonomous Region. After your stay in Lhasa, you move to Kathmandu passing through some major highlighted places of central Tibet such as Gyantse (the ancient trading hub of Tibet), Shigatse (the second largest city of Tibet) and Tingri (from where you can see the distance view of Mount Everest, if weather permits it).

Day 1 : Fly from Kathmandu to Lhasa (3650m) - 1h10.

Day 2 : Visit Lhasa: Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Square and Potala Palace.

Day 3 : Visit Lhasa: Drepung Monastery and Sera Monastery.

Day 4 : Drive from Lhasa to Gyantse (3950m) - 256 kms. Visit Gyantse.

Day 5 : Drive from Gyantse to Shigatse (3900m) - 90 kms. Visit Shigatse.

Day 6 : Drive from Shigatse to Old Tingri (4300m) - 240 kms. Visit Tingri.

Day 7 : Drive from Old Tingri to Zhangmu (2200m) - 181 kms.

Day 8 : Drive from Zhangmu to Kathmandu (1400m) - 123 kms.
