Paragliding

Among all the popular paragliding spots in the world, Nepal has some of the most technical and beautiful spots for such an adventure sport. This is mainly due to the topography of the country whose ranges from 70 metres in the low lands of Terai to the top of the world, the Mount Everest reaching 8848 metres. This is why Nepal is one of the preferred destinations in the world for the free-flight enthusiasts.

Since 1999, the Trekking Agencies Association of Nepal (TAAN) organizes an international paragliding competition called “Nepal Open Paragliding Championship”. The event gathers more than 40 nationalities, 150 para gliders and 45 000 spectators.

Many spots in Nepal are able to give you a stunning experience of paragliding with astonishing landscapes of deep valleys, lush green jungles and the majestic Himalayas.
Among them, Pokhara is the most famous spot in the country. Indeed, a flight from Sarangkot (1500 m) to Pokhara (800 m) give you the opportunity to fly with birds, over the countryside, the traditional villages, Phewa Lake and front of the Dhaulagiri, Annapurna and Manaslu ranges.

The Tandem Flight consists in a certified pilot flying with a passenger. Both have separate harness and they are attached to each other and the wing.

DIFFERENT PACKAGES OF PARAGLIDING :

Discovery Tandem Flight
The Discovery Tandem Flight is a first flight experience. Once launched, the passenger just sits back, relaxes and enjoys the epic flight taking pictures. The flight lasts from 30 to 45 minutes, depending on weather conditions.

Cross-Country Tandem Flight
The Cross-Country Flight offers the chance to experience flying from one valley to another. Using thermals, clouds and birds to guide us, we take you to an unforgettable journey towards the mountains. The flight lasts from 1 to 1:30 hours.

Acrobatic Tandem Flight
In an Acrobatic Flight you generally loop, spin and spiral through the air performing manoeuvres called “helicopter”, “back-fly” or “wingover”. This 10-20 minutes flight will let you breathless.

Expedition Tandem Flight
Early in the morning we leave Pokhara for a 1 to 3 hours journey by bus or taxi to come back later to Pokhara by flight. We can also leave Pokhara by fly to sleep in the mountains and come back the next day by fly.

Para-Trekking Flight (up to 10 days)
This is an exclusive paragliding package conducted under the supervision of an experienced pilot.
