Control
trekking areas in Nepal |
Few trekking areas have been
declared as controlled by
the government of Nepal
requiring special permits,
fees and different travel
arrangement. In order to
protect the pristine
cultural and natural
environment of these
sensitive areas and also to
preserve some of the rarest
and endangered wildlife
species, herbs, fragile
ecosystem the government
restricts / controls the
flow of visitors to few
areas of Nepal. Likewise, in
order to implement the
control mechanism
effectively, the laws
governing the trip to these
areas require that only the
registered trekking agencies
can operate the trip. Every
trekker must therefore join
one of the registered
trekking companies if he or
she wishes to go trekking
into these areas. |
