Of all the popular paragliding spots in the world, Nepal holds countless such technically suitable spots and landscape for this adventure sports activities. This is primarily due to the topography of Nepal. Despite the existence of such possibilities, we have not still been able to identify the areas accurately. Likewise, those areas which have already been identified as potential paragliding spots with attractive landscape still lack the proper infrastructure making the paragliding operation impracticable. Despite these hurdles, Nepal still remains Paraglider's preferred destination luring adventurers from all over the world.

Forming a rectangle on the southern slopes of the Himalaya, Pokhara and its periphery without doubt offers the most stunning experience in Paragliding. The beautiful lake city of Pokhara remains an all year round ideal spot in the whole of Nepal for this adventure sport, offering awesome views of 3 of the world's 8000 meter peaks with ever friendly and constant weather condition for paragliding holiday.

The Trekking Agents Association of Nepal (TAAN) has been organizing an annual International Paragliding competition called "Nepal open Paragliding Championship" since 1999 involving participation from 29 countries. Out of the five best Paragliding destinations in the world Pokhara of Nepal has been rated as the Third most famous destination.

Following are the various types of Tandem Paragliding activities which you can choose from according to your taste, preference and availability of time.

A: Tandem flying:
It involves a pilot flying with a passenger. Both have separate harnesses that are attached to each other and the wing. Once launched the passenger just sits back, relaxes and takes in the epic journey, taking pictures and enjoying the scenic view. Due to the portable nature and easy launch characteristics of a paraglider; fitting easily into a rucksack, we are able to take them anywhere and fly them from most of the mountains in Nepal. Following are the various kinds of Tandem flying activities:

1. Cloud buster:
This midday flight gives you the thrill of high flight as we thermal up above Sarangkot in the company of eagles and vultures, for the duration of 30min to 1 hour. We land by the lake.

2. Cross-country:
This offers you the chance to experience flying from one valley to another. Using thermals, clouds and birds to guide us, we take you on an unforgettable journey north of Pokhara towards the big mountains. We fly as long as we can and aim to return to Pokhara that afternoon.

3. Acrobatic Flying:
In an Acrobatic flying you generally loop, spin and spiral through the air. Performing maneuvers called “Helicopter” “SAT” “Back-fly” “Tumble” and “Wingover”

This 10-20 min flight will leave your breathless.

4. Phewa Tal (Lake) View
In the morning and late afternoon these 15min flights give you a taste of unpowered flight, taking you over the Phewa Lake and then landing by Lakeside.

B: Para trekking (up to 10 days):
This is a rather exclusive Paragliding Package conducted under the supervision of an experienced pilot whereas the clients are expected to be fully capable of handling the flight themselves. We provide food, accommodation and all the required logistic but clients are required to bring their own gears that are necessary for this special flight.
