The Samtengang Winter Trekking is a short trek passing through some villages of the Punakha valley with excellent natural views dotted with rhododendron and oak forests. The trek also provides visitors the opportunity of some cultural experiences.
As the name suggests, the Samtengang Winter Trekking is possible throughout the whole winter.

ITINERARY OF THE TREKKING

Day 1 : Arrive in Paro. Drive to Thimphu (2330m) - 2h and transfer to hotel.
Day 2 : Sightseeing in Thimphu and preparation for the trek.
Day 3 : Drive to Punakha (1310m) - 3h and commence trek to Limukha (1980m) - 4h.
Day 4 : Limukha - Chhungsakha (1550m) - 5h.
Day 5 : Chhungsakha - Samtengang (1830m) - 5h.
Day 6 : Drive to Paro (2230m) - 2h and sightseeing in Paro.
Day 7 : Final departure.
