Day 01 :
Arrival Kathmandu / Transfer
to hotel and stay overnight. |
Day 02 : Kathmandu to
Darjeeling
Depart from Kathmandu and
fly to Bhadrapur Airport (50
minutes) in Nepal side or
fly from Delhi to Bagdora
Airport (50 minutes) in
Indian side. After arrival
our journey proceeds to
Queen of Hill stations;
Darjeeling through the Hill
Cart Road constructed during
the British period. Evening
free to gather experience
about this town which is
world famous for its tea
specially called the
“Champagne of the East”. |
Day 03 :
Sight seeing in Darjeeling
Early morning drive to Tiger
Hill to enjoy the
breathtaking view of color
changes during sunrise over
snowcapped peaks of Mt.
Kanchendzonga Range visit
Batasia Loop, Ghoom
Monastery, Tibetan Self-Help
Refugee Centre, Himalayan
Mountaineering Institute,
Padmaja Naidu Zoological
Park. Enter into the world
famous tea gardens to watch
the tea plantations. In the
evening walk around the Mall
Area, the heart of the town.
Stay overnight at Hotel. |
Day 04
: Darjeeling to
Gangtok
After breakfast your journey
starts to Gangtok, the
capital City of Sikkim and
River Teesta will be your
journey mate. En route visit
to Rumtek Monastery (24 km
just before arriving to
Gangtok) built in 1717 AD.
Commissioned by his holiness
the 16th incarnate of the
original Gyalwa Karmapa of
Tibet and head of the
Kagyupa sect of Buddhism,
this lavishly built
monastery is said to be a
replica of the Tsurphu
Monastery in Tibet. |
Day 05 :
Gangtok - Tsamgo Lake –
Gangtok
Half frozen till mid April,
the oval – shaped glacier
Tsamgo Lake (3780 meters) is
one of the most interesting
sightseeing destinations in
Sikkim. It is situated only
40 km north towards the
historic Sikkim – Tibet
border Nathu La (14,200
feet) from Gangtok. It is
advisable to leave around
9:00 and be back in time for
a late lunch before fogs
descend.
During your visit to this
lake you will encounter
mystical environs of these
lofty heights and the splash
of thousand of blooms in
summer. This area is an
ideal habitat for red panda.
It is recommended that the
best season to visit this
lake is March to late May
and September to mid
December.
The Yaks embellished with
their “Welcome to Sikkim”
headbands, are popular for a
short ride near the lake.
After the lunch break you
will be guided to the
interesting sightseeing
place called Enchay
Monastery (212 years old)
built on a site blessed by
Lama Druptab Karpo, a
tantric master known for his
power of flying, the
Directorate of Tibetology,
Chorten etc.

Day 06 : Gangtok
to Kalimpong
After breakfast depart from
Gangtok and drive to
Kalimpong through the
National highway along the
bank of the River Teesta.
Just before reaching to
Kalimpong, we will pass
through one of the most
romantic spot where River
Teesta comes to meet with
River Rangit. This meeting
symbolizes the union of two
lovers. We recommend you to
stop here for a while
enjoying the nature and its
beauty. After reaching
Kalimpong transfer to hotel. |
Day 07 : Sight
seeing in Kalimpong
Today you will have full day
of sight seeing opportunity
in and around Kalimpong.
Guided tour will lead you
through Graham's Home,
flower nurseries, virgin
Lava and Lolexgaon. These
are the areas hidden in the
mist and clouds almost all
through the year with the
backdrop of the Neora Valley
National Park. After the
sightseeing take a rest and
visit the Kalimpong bazaar. |
Day 08 : Depart
from Kalimpong and drive to
Bhadrapur via Siliguri to
catch your flight to
Kathmandu. |
